Elevate the Quality of IT/BPO Workers through Competency Standards and Certification Assessment: The program shall facilitate the use of industry competency standards for the IT/BPO sector to specify the minimum stock of knowledge, skills and attitudes required by specific or group of related IT/BPO occupations, in collaboration with experts from the IT/BPO the industry and academe.
Engage Industry, Academe, and Students through The Dual Training System (DTS): This activity shall enable the development and installation of DTS curricula in selected educational institutions in the National Capital Region. The curricula would supplement students’ theoretical knowledge by exposing them to the workplace through structured and supervised in-company training. With partnerships from industry and academe, this activity shall ensure that students are equipped with employable skills and practical knowledge upon completing their training.
Enhance Knowledge and Skills through Short-term and Further Training Courses: The development and provision of short term and further training programs will address the immediate needs of the IT/BPO sector on basic and new technological trends. These courses are expected to interest students, college graduates and professionals to pursuer further skills training. These courses shall also be used in a dualized training curriculum to meet the minimum job entry requirements.
Enable Effective Teaching through Capability-building and Enhancement Training for IT/BPO Teacher-Trainers: The program shall carry out teacher-trainer enhancement programs that cover curriculum development, effective delivery and evaluation of instruction, and development of teaching-training courseware. Training courses shall be designed to facilitate the acquisition of newer technologies by the target beneficiaries.
