Filipino IT Workers Cited

According to the 2002 Global New Economy Index survey done by a leading American IT research group, the Philippines ranked fourth after India, Israel, and Iceland in terms of the quality and availability of IT skills. The survey is proof that the Philippines is indeed ahead of its Asian neighbors, not to mention developed countries like the United States and Australia, in terms of the "excellent availability" of ICT workers.

The survey results also cited the Filipino workers' technical and business skills for ICT projects. Filipino ICT workers were also lauded in the areas of e-enabling services like business outsourcing and human resources, customer interaction, finance and accounting, as well as website services.
